At almost any petstore you can get this bitter apple spray, just spray a little bit of that on there and it should do the trick and shouldn't make the airline tube look or function any differently:) Good luck!

You can buy flexible aluminium tubing - some people put it around their cables for their tv or computerHave you thought about getting an outside box filter - no tubesIf you are running the tubes for air curtains or little treasure chests (do they still make those?) try keeping the tubing up behind the tanks as much as possible and hiding the air pump where they can't get at it.
