Traveled extensively through both. Beautiful countries For me it's Italy. Great food, Amazing cities, culture, great art, history. No where like it. Florence, Venice Amaifi Coast Rome Lake Garda Verona Milan Dolomites Pisa Sicily etc etc etc Friendly people Great weather Beautiful food So much to do. If anyones thinking of going, go by train. Travel around, stay in each place 3 days. Much better than staying in one location and moving around by bus or car. But take the car out to explore the great countryside and small towns. A car is useless I your planning to visit the cities. Though don't go to Naples unless your going to Pompeii, Mt Vesuvus or Herculaneum. Um maybe you should go then. After thinking about it, France is no comparison.
