I am part of an amateur ghost hunting group and we investigated a house last night. Upon entering a room with older sofas, upon using an emf detector, it spiked to 8 and then buried the needle. Why would this happen? Anyone have any ideas?
are you sure it wasn't the scent or movements of old beer farts being released when you sat down on the sofa?
Maybe this happened. Your imagination is playing tricks on you. You know, since there's no such things as ghosts. Should use more common sense...
I was having a nice nab on the sofa when somebody came in with this gadget things at his hand and don't know what it is? So I have to run from it!
Emf meters only detect emf, not ghosts. Chances are that you or another person in the group got too close to the device and your electronic equipment (cell phones, cameras, etc.) provided the emf.
sometimes in older sofas they used material to make the springs that can set off emfs.same thing happened to my group,and since the sofa was ripped we took a spring out and put it to the other side of the room and found it was the source of the emf.i'm not sure why it set it off but maybe you had the same thing.also if it's a old couch alot of stuff gets lost in couchs in the cracks.maybe something that fell down a crack on the side is setting it off.not sure but the night it happened to us was the springs from the sofa.if you go back and got a way to check it let me know if you got the same results because we was wondering why would a spring in the couch make our needle go up so high?lol
