my boiler keeps going out after it lights for about an hour or two. it seems that the only way it will re-light is when the boiler is left idle or cooled down and I press the re-set switch then it re-lights for another hour or two. Anyone got any idea whats going wrong please??
Has it ever worked properly? Is the condensate drain clear? Many boilers react to buildup of condensate by cutting the flame sense signal to the ignition sequence controller. Loss of flame (real or fake) usually requires a manual reset. Is the gas pipe 22mm. all the way from the meter? Insufficient gas flow will cause the flame to go out. It could be overheating; try turning down the boiler thermostat. (If the thermostat is satisfied, it will go off but then come on again later without a manual reset.)
Frost stat. Boiler contained in the storage by technique of any probability? those boilers don't have a thermocouple. Its no longer from 1985!!!!! It makes use of flame rectification to experience it has lit - and this isn't the challenge. The boiler is getting a call for from someplace with the intention to stir up. defective frost thermostat, end microswitch on the diverter/zone valve etc etc. astounding to get someone in who can incredibly diagnose this in minutes with a multimeter
