Copper are mined from ores in the earth's crust which are found in impure form which are further processed and refined.
i cant go into the details of it,because i learnt it years ago. but the ore is purified using electrolysis. (look it up, in wikipedia) then once pure it is melted and rolled into sheets (typically).
