use a smaller pc of c-pipe to make a connector , slide it in the compressor fitting then the coil braze it then re do it
bernzomatic is good to use for soldering copper connections for plumbing or in our case a condensate line, it should never be used on refrigeration lines, solder melts if I remeber right around 800 degrees which is ideal using mapp gas. If your trying to braze together refrigerant lines using brazing rod you will need something that will get a lot hotter to melt the rod. Something that will heat up to I think 1200-1500 F if i remeber right, such as accetaline, or oxy-accetaline is even hotter/better and much quicker.
