Question:

PTFE gasket and stainless steel plane sealing problem 5

Pictured above, the red circle is directly in the processing of A plane with PTFE gasket compression seal, but always leak, I think it is in the corner due to leakage when processing make fillet PTFE gasket is not very good and fit to face A. Now I want to processing into the structure shown below, put a circle at the corner where the processing tank, which can fit the PTFE gasket A good surface, but also not to experiment, did not know that it is okay, there is no expert advice! The main problems are as follows:First, is this the cause of the leak?Second, A surface in processing, roughness and flatness should be processed to how much more appropriate?Third, how about the tolerance of key dimensions?

Answer:

An end face groove shall be machined at the same location of the housing and the plug, and the side of the slot requires Ra0.4. Fit the PTFE pad in the slot. The thickness of the pad is greater than the sum of two of the groove depth.
1, is a form of change, whether can use stainless steel plug screw with PTFE raw material belt canal seal.2, material selection, can choose bulk PTFE, can overcome the roughness of processing
PTER material itself is less elastic, which requires the design and manufacture of groove are more accurate. Please provide me with drawings and exact requirements, and I'll give you a plan. Guarantee feasible.
