As mentioned above, I have a question about Bar‘s Leaks Liquid Copper and Liquid Aluminum radiator stop leaks.Has anyone had any experience with either of these products? If so, how did they work? How permanent is the fix they provide? Thanks for any input!
Well it really works routinely an dor however oftentimes it plugs heater core which cost you greater than a radiator does and you sure radiator leaking or is it water pump or a foul hose be better to have it seem at via a shop or to not use it really shoul dknow the place its leaking from before you employ any style of sealer most will casue extra problems than they repair
It slows the leak down a little depending on where the leak is coming from.But it will also clog up the radiator and the heater core causing the vehicle to overheat.,,,,,,,,,
The only stop leak type product I would ever recommend is the ground aluminum that's packaged ina clear plastic tube. I don't recall the brand name but any of the DRY products that are made up of only finely ground aluminum work great and will not clog your cooling system. I've personally used these for years and they work well with no side effects. In some cases, you may need to add another tube of the ground aluminum to take care of the leak, but my experience has been that they work well, and last a long time. There are limits to the leaks than can be fixed using this stuff, but short of bullet holes, they will fix the leak and last a long time.
