I made a cake for a party tomorrow night I was wondering if I should store it in the refrigeratorI put a lot of work into the decorating, so I didn't really want to cover it with plastic wrap or anythingDo you think it would be okay just sitting in the fridge on a plate? I was thinking of leaving it out, but I'm afraid that might make the icing melt or make the cake go staleLol, this is the first time I've baked a cake that wasn't getting eaten right away, so I'm a little confused :)
well its a good idea to put it in the fridge but maybe you could put aluminium foil on it? like make sure the foil it attached to the edge of the plate but put a large amount so it doesnt toouch the cakeif not, you could lighty put the foil on it and if you can touch up any decorations if anything gets a little messed up?
