Hello. I was wondering if welding a 20 x 20 x 3 feet thick sheet of galvinized steel to a steel silo will hold 200 Tons of weight. Would that thick steel sheet welded to the silo's interior be able to withstand 200 tons of weight?
Your information is incomplete or in error 3 feet thick is impossible to weld in any practical sense and is not sheet anyway it is a block. And 20x20 doesn't work as a silo unless it is to be curved to a cylinder 20 feet in circumference and 20 feet tall. And 200 tons inside a cylinder is different from 200 tons on top of a cylinder and you don't name the material or give a density. We don't know the shape.
