i have my wires installed by a professional, and i wanted to put an taco switch to run to my amp, if i run a taco switch will it be okay? and with messing up the wires that he already ran would it screw it up?
Are you wanting to listen to your stereo with your Sub off sometimes? There would be no problem putting a in-line toggle switch on your REM wire. Just look at the color of the small wire going into your amp, then find that wire under the dash. Cut the wire and strip both ends. Connect one side of the toggle to one wire and the other side to the toggle to the other wire . Now it is just a In-line switch. mount it where you want Turning this off and on wont hurt your amp.
I take it you want to put a togo switch to be able to turn your amp on and off? Sure you can . Put it inline with the blue remote turn on wire. Then when you flip the switch the amp will power on . Flip again and it will turn off.
why do you need a taco switch on the amp. im assuming that the amp stays on 24/7, if it dues that was not a professional that did the install, you need to connect the ( remote wire) from the head unit to the terminal on the amp (-B)
