How would you rate the Rainbow vacuum cleaner? Please only responed if you have used it or own one. Thank you.
Works great - maybe the best. BUT...it is a big hassle! I love the ease and thoroughness of a Dyson ball! Easy to empty, you don't pull it around and it is always ready in a moment's notice! The Dyson does a wonderful job with greater ease. The cost is only a fraction of the Rainbow also. barb
I tried this vacuum when I was looking a few years ago and thought it did a great job. My only beef was I didn't want to have to clean the water and filter all the time. I have animals and wet dog hair just didn't appeal to me. I ended up with a Filter Queen which I just LOVE and would highly recommend to anyone. It is a lifetime sweeper and sooooo worth the money.
I have been in the cleaning business for 20 years and have had some experience with vacuum cleaners. I think you could have an excellent vacuum for around $300-$400. (Panasonic, Sanyo, Sharp) After seeing the Rainbow demonstrated, I just don't think they are worth the money. I also don't get how they clean the air. Basically, they are passing the dirty air over some water (not through it). and call this cleaning the air and filtering out the dirt. Check out some of the above vacuums online and save yourself some Christmas money. I just recently bought a Sanitaire SC6600 for our house and we really like it. Paid Approx. $325.00. It is commercial, 2 motor system, tools and stretch hose on board, carpet or hard floors (your can turn the beater brush off and just have air flow). Hope this helps.
Ive had one... I love my dyson. Who wants to clean up gross water... and what happens when you spill it... because it will happen!
Great vac. No nasty bags to send dust back into the room, the dirt all captured in the water and flushed away. You get a nice assortment of tools in addition to an adjustable height power nozzle. It is a bit pricey, but they last forever if maintained properly. On the down side, with the water reservoir in place it is a bit heavy, which can make stairs difficult.
