Question:

Random Fire Alarm going off?

Randomly, usually at like 3 - 7 in the morning the fire alarm in my house goes off. Now this is NOT a daily thing. It randomly goes of on a random day of the week. Actually I'm not sure if there is a specific day (I haven't been paying attention) but its just randomly goes off. My dad goes around to every room in the house and checks for anything that would cause it to go off, but nothing comes up. We also have a carbon monoxide detector and that does not go off, nor does it show any carbon monoxide being detected. Now the reason I find this especially wierd is because when we went camping for a week, the fire alarm in our cabin randomly went off at around 7 am. Again, there was no found reason. I'm just curious if anyone would have any reasoning behind this. My family thinks that it has to deal with a ghost, which honestly I'm not sure, but there has to be a reason for it. Thanks!

Answer:

Yes. I was melting wax in the kitchen to make candles for dipping. I was melting the wax in a tin directly on the burner, not using a double-boiler the way the instructions said. The wax caught fire.
No, I never cook. what? I steal the food from the neighbors.it's better this way
Yes I forgot and left a burner on under a pan of grease.I was lucky it only burned the bottom of my stove vent.
I think it was just a metaphor. Suit up because we are going into battle, get your game face on, etc
Yes. In college, I was microwaving something (I think taquitos) wrapped in paper towels. I was trying to automatically absorb the grease I guess. I accidentally set the microwave for something like 30 minutes instead of 3 minutes. I was in the bathroom and when I came out, the paper towel had caught fire and was raging within the microwave. I put it out with a fire extinguisher and had to throw away the microwave. I am much more kitchen savvy now!
