Question:

Resistance Copper (Cu) bar at 176 deg. Celsius?

I want to say thank you to all of you for taking the time to answer my questions.-------------------------What is the Resistance (Ohms) of a 0.999% Copper (Cu) bar heated with MAPP gas to 176 C. if the bar dimensions are: 0.1016m X 0.0064m X 0.0011m ?

Answer:

it will be just fine. if your just adding more oil. it will be deluted by the oil in it already. that additives stuff will not harm your engine. it might cause a little oozing from around the gasket and stuff. but will not harm it.
Whatever your Castrol GTX has in it is all that you should be using. I repeat, do not use an oil additive.
assuming you measure the long way, across the 0.1 m dimenstion. at 20C R ρL/A R 17.2nΩ-m x 0.1016m / 0.0064m x 0.0011m R 248000 nΩ or 248 ?Ω resistivity temp coef is 0.0039 Δρ 0.0039 (176-20) 17.2 10.5 ρ 10.5 + 17.2 27.7 recalc with the new value of ρ R 27.7nΩ-m x 0.1016m / 0.0064m x 0.0011m R 0.000400 ohm or 400 ?Ω realize the literature has several different values for ρ, so there is some error. .
