my project is about pvc pipes and whether sealing a connection with a rubber washer works better than with a plastic washer. We are having trouble finding websites for our bibliography and research paper. please list some links of resources. we are not allowed to use pedia. try to find sites about what pvc is what washers do, water pressure,gravity flow on pipes, and anything else you can think of. it would be greatly appreciated(;
Perry's Handbook of Chemical Engineering has a whole section on this. The book ain't cheap but it is well worth the price. Note that what many people call a 150 pound flange is actually a Class 150 flange; a flange of those dimensions made of cast iron will hold 150 psig, but made of steel it is good for rather more pressure. NPT National Pipe TAPER, not nat'l pipe thread as many say. There is also NPS, nat'l pipe STRAIGHT, which uses a gasket. Do not mix them !

There are no credible links to this particular story. One would think that after 60+ years of media coverage of this subject one would see photographic evidence of such an accusation. No photo's exist to prove that palestinians use children as shields. Israel must not have any problem with bombing to rubble a school full of children. Palestine has built some of their police stations near schools. We do that here in america. Israel doesn't care in the least bit if they take out a school that sits next to a police station in gaza. They figure they are just palestinians. This is why i've come to despise israel.
