So my Exhaust rusted out, and I fixed it with a ravioli can and some hose clamps.However, can I wrap that section in Aluminium foil? Because there is still a little space between the exhaust and the can as it was broken at a angleBut will Aluminium foil do the job for taking care of the gap?
can is tinalluminium will burn/go away quicki saw/read your commentbeing snoopyremove the tin can, clean all rust off with a wire wheel or brushgo get some exhaust sealer mud from an auto parts storecomes in a tubeuse your can, clamps, and the mud per product instructionspre form the can and minmize gaps by tapping with a hammer lightly prior to mud appso as to not cause more issuesthen install with the mud and clampsonce engine heats up the exhaust, if you're lucky, it will sealgenerally there's no substitue for pipe replacement in this instancebut one does what one can only doso if there's a chance, using the exhaust mud inconjunction with your can, might do itbe it a temp fixmight get you past emissionseh.
