I am cooking a dish and I really don't want to get out in the cold weatherWhat is a substitute for a roasting pan.
I don't have a good roasting pan or a crock pot, but I still can and do make some delicious roastsIf you have a deep dish pan with a cover that can withstand temeperatures up to 350, you can use that in your ovenI set my temp at 300 and cook everything slower and longer, comes out great, meat is tender and flavorfulOne pan I have has plastic handles that can withstand up to 350 (I never set it this high just to be safe), another pan I have I take the plastic handles off before putting it in the ovenIf you have pan that will work but not a cover, put aluminum foil over it (assuming you or a neighbor has that around).
