I never used lime as I felt that it was more bitter than the actual beer itself.
I usually drink corona with Lemon for a more fresh taste, but also drink it w/o. It really depends on my mood.

Corona is piss water in a bottle. The lime is often used to cover up the skunkyness of the brew itself.
I have always felt the reason people put lime in Corona was to help cover the taste. That was not a popular thing to do until the late 1970's. I prefer beer without the lime.
