Question:

rubber cement on walls?

my son got some new posters and wants to hang them up. he has a very light blue (almost white) color painted on his walls (with panelling behind it) and i wanted to know if i could use rubber cement to hang them, or if it would damage the paint color after removal?

Answer:

try nail polish remover
It may pull off the paint. 3M makes attachments (sold at Lowes, Home Depot) that can be pulled off without finish damage.
There are actually packages of little sticky balls (grey, consistency of gum) that you can use. The schools all use it to put posters up on their walls. It's the same stuff that comes with the glow-in-the-dark stars and planets that some kids put on their ceilings...
sure. spread rubber cement of both products and enable it sit down for 5 minutes then keep on with. it isn't in a position to be adjusted in any respect. Make a pattern to work out if it stains the paper first. sturdy good fortune getting the paper off the wall in the destiny.
I'm a union painter...please don't use rubber cement on the wall. You will only have to hire me to come scrape, patch, and sand all the areas you glued. Then I'm going to have to paint the walls. So if ya want to prevent me from coming over to do this,,,use poster puddy :) It's wall friendly. You can get it at Wal mart
