I need a place where I can level up smithing and I‘m currently trying to smith iron. So I need a place where I can mine iron ore with a furnace and an anvil really close/nearby.
Rather than trying to find ores near an anvil, you need to find ores near a bank instead. Then a furnace near a bank then an anvil near a bank. There is a resource dungeon in the dwarven mining area with a deposit box and 3 iron ores just outside the dungeon. That's your best spot to get and bank iron. For the smithing experience, you can use the artisan workshop in Falador. It's very fast smith experience, but no profit. If you prefer to actually smith iron gear to sell then use the furnace in Edgeville or make cannonballs in Port Phantasm. The anvil in Varrock is just south of the west bank for that step.
