Question:

RV FRESH WATER PUMPS?

PUMP RUNS BUT DONT PUMP WATER

Answer:

you need to prime it suck on the output tube
I just had this problem in my boat.. It was my filter clogged up.
If U just install it look at the arrows for water flow. If not than make sure it has water getting to ti and not shut off or leaking line. There are tests U can do on the pump to see if it's working like a hose into a bucket of water and see if it pumps.
If you just installed it you may have hooked it up backwards. The intake and output may be reversed or your electrical connection my be opposite what it is supposed to be. Take of the output side and put your finger over it. It should be creating pressure and blow on your finger. If that is not the problem check to see if you have a water filter between the tank and the pump. That my be clogged.
I am not completely sure but i'll share my thoughts. I'm not certain but I think the water tank should have a seperate fill up. If your filling your fresh water tank and nothing is coming out of your faucet, my guess would be the water pump. Check and see if there is a reset button on your water pump switch. If not there should be a breaker for it located somewhere in the camper. But if you screw your water hose in to your camper and there is constant water pressure then there should be some water without having to use the water pump. If not then I'm stumped..
