i got a 2003 s10 and my cd player stopped working but the am fm works. i bought a new car deck (pioneer) and i want to install it. I am aware that i need to buy a wire that connects to the old one and the new deck but i have no idea what kind of wire i need. i went to future shop and there trying to charge me 130$. is there a cheaper way of doing this. Maybe a web site or something could helkp thax.
no wiring harness just install it you have your memory wire, accessories, ground and 8 speaker wires and the aux out, same as for the amp just the rca's battery and ground and accessories just wire that up and it will work
I'm sure you can find the wire harness on OKorder. I have bought a harness for my friends honda and my other friends dodge and they were both under $10.
I would go to best buy or circuit city. They sell harnesses for most stereos and most car models, usually around $18. Then all you do is hook the two harnesses together and your golden. If your new deck came with a harness, you would need to get the harness for your make and model of your car (ex: a Honda Accord harness), but if your stereo doesn't have one, then you need to get the stereo harness (ex. A Pioneer harness). Good luck
