I have a newly built SBC 355 in a 86 Chevy C10And I thought i figured out my problem but I didn'tSo I'll give you every detail about this build that i can think of so you can help me narrow this downIt has a Holley 600 electric choke, 2 inch aluminum carb spacer, Edelbrock EPS intake, 305 1.94/1.5 heads, Crane 1.52 roller rockers, MSD cap and rotor, Flowtech long tube headers, and Accel plugs and wiresOkay my problem is my truck will run fine for hours, I drove it nearly 100 miles without a problem, but all of a sudden its started shuttering and eventually starting backfiring through the carburetor then through the exhaustI can only give it a small amount of gas before it sputtersI cant pass and I struggle on hillsWhat do you think
C Aluminum's atomic number is 13 (so, 13 protons)27-1314 neutrons.
4 hole or open carb spacer.? That carb spacer being aluminum is going to transfer ALOT of heat into the carb which will make it vapor lockPut a 4 hole phenolic spacer on itOpen spacers kill low RPM manners, torque and drive-abilityAny idea how much preload you put on your lifters during your rocker arm adjustment.?
