On our way to church my family passes several Amish farmsThey have attached (what appears to be) sheets of foil from the trunks of their deciduous treesSome of them have several of these (up to five as far as I can tell)I supposed that it could have something to do with an old fashioned way to tap a tree, but that is only a very uneducated guessCan anyone help?
