I'm making a small (3 lbs) turkey for me and my husband tomorrow, and I was wondering if I should put aluminum foil over the top of the dish I'm cooking it in, or leave it uncovered? I'm glazing it and stuffing itAny advice?
Quaker High Fiber Oatmeal
Maple and brown sugar oatmeal is my favoriteI buy the packets for workAnd yes it is filling and good for youHigh fiber helps fill you up until you eat your lunch or dinner.
those flavored sugary oatmeal packs are not the best optionyou should stick to just regular oatmeal, if you add your own cinnamon and fresh fruit you'll get sweetness and taste with less sugar and more nutritiontry adding a few raisins and cinnamon, or half a mashed banana, or peaches and a splash of milk for a yummy wholesome breakfast.
I made the best turkey last weekendtraveling so had our dinner earlyAnyway, I had a 14 pound turkey and I stuffed and seasoned it well, put it on a rack in a roasting pan, poured about two inches of chicken broth in the pan, covered TIGHT with foil and baked at 325 for 2 1/2 hoursThen I removed the foil, increased the heat to 350, brushed some melted butter all over the turkey and baked uncovered in the oven for another hourCan I just tell you, it was the MOISTEST turkey I have ever madeI would imagine you could do the same with a smaller turkeyreally? Three pounds?? Are you sure it's not a chickenanywayfor three pounds I guess I would cook it covered at 325 for about an hour and then uncovered for another 40 minutes.
