Simple Economics questionPlease help me out.?

If the price of aluminum (a substitute for steal) rises, what happens to the steel producer's supply curve? The supply curvea) shifts to the leftb) shifts to the rightc) remains unchangedI am an undergrad in economics and this question should be extremely easy for meBut I am convinced its C, because a higher price for the substitute would create more consumer demand for the product that is cheaper or is less expensiveSo, the demand curve for steal would shift right and the new equilibrium would be at a higher quantity sold and at a higher price without a change in supplyBut the book says the answer is BBut I totally disagreeWhat am I missing?Help me out.

Answer:

Ok, here is what I do with my ornaments every year (my cats are 13 and 14 and don't mess w/ the tree TOO much anymore)For the ornaments with hooks, pinch the hooks down TIGHTLY around the tree limbFor the ornaments with loops of string, put the ornament on the branch, flip the branch up OVER the string backwards and pinch it down, creating another loopIt's a pain in the tush to take the tree down, but keeps the ornaments saferI also put kitty-safe ornaments on the bottom of the tree for my Phoebe because she likes to bat them when she is throwing her fits, other than that, they leave the tree along and just lay under itOh, and ALWAYS put the more important (heirlooms, expensive, etc) ornaments at the top out of kitty's reachGood Luck!! Happy Holidays!
Place directional covers on the registers if you are unable to turn the vent off mechanically.
cut a piece of cord board to size and tape over opening
Aluminium is a very poor substitute for steel, but that's largely beside the point The answer is CAny other answer requires you to consider second round effects and (preferably) for the production of steel to be a perfectly competitive market (clearly, it isn't)Suggest the book's authors probably got their words mixed up when writing the question.
