Where abouts in Europe is gaurented to get heavy snowfall in December/January ? I am thinking about a winter holiday and would really like somewhere snowy. I live in Scotland so please do not say Scotland Thanks
The Alps? Kinda got a reputation for really good Winter vacations. (soSwitzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Italy) And, in addition to Finland, Norway (one of the recent Winter Olympics was held there, you know) and Sweden. Both extend above the Arctic Circle, so.yeah. Snow.
The Alps, northern Spain, northern Italy, the mountains of Romania, Scandinavia. Most of northern Europe should get some snow this winter. Russia gets a ton of snow during the winter.
There is already a LOT of snow in the Dolomites and Alps. We've had rain almost every day for the past few weeks where I live in northern Italy, but just a couple of hours north in the mountains, it's been snow. The Christmas markets are running and the views are great this year.
