Question:

Solutions for epoxy-resin that won't cure?

I recently put epoxy-resin over a table top and still (after a few months) have sticky patches that I CANNOT get to cure, have tried heating, acetone, etc. If they are not too deep, can I just put a new layer of resin over it and hope for it that to harden on top? Any other solutions?

Answer:

A restore would be a good idea. Copy your data to an external USB drive or whatever, then either run a restore CD or if you are using a windows CD, delete your partition during the install process and then re-create it to be sure that your hard drive is completely wiped clean. Once you are up and running, run windows update several times until no further critical updates show up, ensure you have anti-virus software and that it is up to date, use anti-spyware software and keep it up to date, and be careful when browsing to help avoid these problems. Perform regular scans of your hard drive using your anti-virus/spyware software.
Probably Sun sq Pluto. As Noel Tyl would say, it is a hand grenade under a blanket.
