Question:

Stained cement.?

Eucalyptus leaves were left on the front porch. It rained. Evidently, they are treated with some type of coloring agent and it dripped from the leaves to the porch cement leaving a bluish stain. The tint washed right off my hands, but not so with the cement which absorbed it like an easter egg.I've tried soap and water -- no good.Krud Kleaner with a wire brush -- faded it a little.OxyClean with a toothbrush -- faded it a little more. But, the stain is still there and very visible. Is there anything that will get it out? Bleach, maybe...vinegar ???Help! Thanks.

Answer:

use outdoor bleach instead of regular household bleach. should clear the stain right up
I would try bleach, and let it sit on the concrete for a while. I know they sell cement cleaners in home improvement stores like Lowe's and Home Depot, you may want to check those out.
relies upon on some issues as to in the event that they're going to come proper up. If the oil is the familiar previous black motor oil and has been sitting there awhile that's interior the concrete and takes solid stuff to get it up. superb I even have used is what provider stations have used for some years to get oil off their concrete. that's mentioned as wildcat cleanser and is attainable in a bucket. Is yellow powdered granules which you unfold on the oil stained concrete once you have first moist it down. Then scrub it with a broom or brush somewhat and permit it sit down. Turns green whilst it hits the water and has acid in it so will burn epidermis, ft, and likewise injury clothing if get plenty on them. After it sits yet no longer letting it dry out can then hose it off. rigidity washer will help if this is previous stain. There are all varieties of alternative ideas listed on the information superhighway on Yahoo seek, yet i've got not finished lots of them. Wildcat can frequently be discovered at Carquest or O'Reilly, or Napa form shops. unsure if any of the cheapo decrease cost places like vehicle Zone carry it or no longer. could verify nonetheless as though they do probable have it in smaller sizes.
Concrete is porous, so the stain has gotten into the concrete. The first thing I would do is pressure wash the stain. This will probably remove 90% of the stain. If you have any stain left after that, treat with bleach, covering the bleached concrete with a plastic bag and weights to help delay evaporation, followed by a final pressure wash.
Pressure washer works great, also try Lime-Away, or Muriatic Acid, (pool supplies), this will etch your cement down to a clean layer but be carefully not to mix with bleach.
