Question:

Tamper proof smoke detectors?

I live in an apartment building, and they installed a tamper proof smoke detector that is practically on top of my oven. Here is my problem. I don't smoke,so I don't have that to deal with, but EVERY TIME I use the oven that smoke detector goes off. there is NO smoke,so there is nothing to fan,or open a window for. I don't get it! I can use the stove top,and no problem, but when I try and use the stove-never fails. Detector goes off. The oven is clean,so that can't be the problem. It's gotten so I havent made anything in the oven for months, but that's ridiculous!!! I want to make food in the oven!! I'm considering trying to put a cover on the alarm, just so I can cook! Does anyone have any ideas? I'm not trying to break it,or stop it permanently. I live alone, and have never been careless or had any problems in any other apartment I have lived in before. I'm getting so tired of that LOUD noise if I cook.

Answer:

Ok, ONE- Fuel lines don't affect the alarm, the battery does. TWO- Cut the fuel lines? your car will never run again. THREE- A common problem is that doors don't close right. FOUR- Simple solution. Slam all doors shut, if it still goes off, use FIVE and SIX FIVE- Disconnect NEGATIVE battery terminal when you get out. SIX- Get the car checked out.
