this is what you do,never mind the fibre glass insullation,you need the celulose insulation,the densitty is far greater than fibre glass,you can nicely retrofit you attic in every little crack,just blow in a r40 (11) over your old existing batts,and your totaly heat sealedfibre glass has no density what so ever ,it is just a cheap way of insulating for home builders,and budget minded home ownerscelulose is made up of recyled paper,has borate as a fire retardent and rodent repellant, rent out a machine and start blowing
