I was eating something in the back of the car on the way to town and my tooth felt weird, on of the brackets was broken, its been like this for nearly a week now, my mum phoned the dentist and im going in next tues. Will they stick it back on or will they take it off?and this is one of my really bad crooked teeth!!How would they stick it on if it could be stuck on cause its doesn't look like they could!!Please help me!!
The best bracket I've damaged was once a again hook one and they did not care approximately it. It was once certainly one of best 2 they might get on considering my tooth are so tiny. Seems I did not want it within the first position due to the fact they have got but to switch it. Call them first. Let them recognize. Ask what to do. And quit consuming the incorrect stuff. It WILL extend your cure, it CAN do everlasting harm in your tooth, and also you or your mom and dad WILL must pay extra. I pay $152 in step with appointment out of my possess pocket, to not point out the $760 down fee. This junk is high priced. I maintain it. I may not intentionally screw myself into paying extra for my possess stupidity and stubbornness. If your mom and dad were paying, possibly they will have to turn the invoice over to you and spot should you emerge as extra cautious. ;)
calm down. hes probably going to throw that one away and replace it and stick it back in there. don't worry, this is normal. it happens to everyone. i had braces and that happen to me once. just make sure it doesn't happen a lot, or else it will take longer to get your teeth straighten up and i know you don't want that. try not to eat hard food. i hope this helps
They take the wire out first of all. Then the take the broken bracket. They get a new bracket, glue it on, then let it dry which takes about 2 minutes. When it dries, they will put the wire back in along with rubber bands (if you wear them) It's not bad at all!
The same thing happened to me when I had braces a few years ago. All they do it glue it back to your tooth like they did when you first got your braces and readjust the wire.
I had EXACTLY the same problem about 2 weeks ago, I have really crooked teeth and one of the brackets came off, I went to the orthodontist and all he did was stick it back on! They take the wire off, stick the old bracket back on (or if its completely come off and you've lost it put a new one on ), then replace the wire! It doesn't hurt a bit! However, having a bracket off does add time to the length you must wear the brace, so make sure you don't eat any hard foods so it doesn't happen again!
