Question:

The car buyer wants to hoist my car before buying it?

I have a potential buyer for my car and wants to put my car on a hoist to lift the car up to see it before commiting to buying it.I am iffy on this because if the mechanic damages something on my car and the buyer backs out then I am stuck fixing it.2 question... Why would a buyer want to hoist my car before buying it and what can i do if I agree to hoisting it that if there is damage, the mechanic has to pay?

Answer:

That's the best way to do a pre-purchase inspection. They'l want to wiggle the front wheels to check the suspension, ball joints, etc. You can go with the buyer to observe this being done.
The chances of damage from a professional shop putting a car on a hoist are incredibly slight. If I were the buyer and you hesitated to allow it, I'd be wondering what you're trying to hide.
If you want to sell it , you must agree to hoist the car. The buyer will be looking for a bent frame, or any other damage, which would let him know if your auto has been in an accident.
Q1 - The buyer wants to see how much rust is there, what shape the expensive exhaust system is in, and how the brake and fuel lines look. Q2 - The chances of damage to a car from being put on a lift by a mechanic is near zero and if the car is damaged somehow he has insurance to pay for any issue. Now if the car is so rusty that putting it on the lift breaks the frame you are out of luck (and shouldn't be selling a car in such bad condition anyway).
