Of course there are differences on attrition rate, and this is the same as rock wool. This will affect the schedule, especially will add construction difficulty. They are all inorganic materials, but the thermal insulation perfoamance is poor. I have accepted such a project in which the boards are of different density and there are big differences on their thermal insulation and fireproof performance. And I will not accept such project any more.
Sound insualtion effect varies with density and thickness of the boards. The boards with higher density and which is also thicker have better sound insulation.
