The influence of drilling barite on well logging
Errors in the measurements of many well logging items, such as resistivity and radioactivity logging, affect the accuracy of measurements, resulting in negative corrections to the measurements of the density of compensation and the density of rocks.
In the logging process, other logging work should be carried out first, then barite will be added to carry out radioactive barium logging. The radioactive intensity is measured by adding radioactive barium and radioactive logging, and the extension direction of the fracture fissure can be traced.
Barite is mainly radioactive barium, because the radioactivity of barium is stronger than that of formation. If drilling or other process, adding barium will disturb the accuracy of logging.
