Question:

The operation of an electric motor depends on?

the Doppler effect. the photoelectric effect. the magnetic force acting on a current-carrying wire in a magnetic field. induced commutators from the rotation of a wire in a magnetic field.

Answer:

the magnetic force acting on a current-carrying wire in a magnetic field.
the magnetic force acting on a current carrying wire which temporarily magnetises a metal core (the armature) made of soft magnetic material and the direction of floiw of the electricty is reversed constantly with each compleate (or half revolution i think) within a magnetic or induced magnetic field. Soft magneitc materials are those which lose thier magnetism qiuckly after leaving a magnetic field.
