The purpose of insulation of silicon steel sheet
Silicon steel sheet has the advantages of good magnetic conductivity and poor electrical conductivity. It is the use of this characteristic that the primary stage coil achieves the effect of variable pressure by electromagnetic induction.
Alternating magnetic field or in the core will produce cable, and if the silicon steel sheet is integral, its conductivity is greatly strengthened, will produce eddy current, equivalent to a closed circuit and heating. Therefore, the iron core of the transformer is stacked with the thin silicon steel sheets which are insulated from each other.
