Answer:

I kinda like the transparent magazine thingBut heres the thing - there are times when they will send you on an armed detail, but they wont give you any ammo - believe that or notPerhaps mixing up the mags would be okay somehow to work around thisSecondly, I dont think it really would make much difference in reload time to be honestIts not like you see in the movies, where the bad guys have their mags taped together for a quick change on the flyThen theres the consideration of carrying them in the pouches (you would need to issue new pouches that would accomodate the assembled mags - otherwise whats the difference in having them when you will need time to assemble them togetherPlus, to reload a new mag is not that time consumingand not something that couldnt be done with some tape before mission executionAll in all, I think its one of those ideas that sounds better on paper, but actual implementation would require newer pouches and the time to assble themCompared to the trie and true method of dropping a mag and slamming in a new oneIts not that hard, and actually a pretty quick process in itselfSo I say nioce trybut no cigaIf someone could make metal transparent.I dont see why notI would have liked to know when I had 3 or 6 rounds left during a pause in a firefightAt same time, you pretty much know when its time to change your mag anyways.
