they are necessary when your car is valuable or contains valuables or if you want to protect your investment alarms are good for security its the CHEAP low quality alarms that are unnecessary
they are annoying aren't they! i hate the one down the street from us, he has it set on such a sensitive setting that if a bus goes by the alarm goes off. half the time he doesn't bother coming out just lets it go til it resets itself. i'd like to shoot the stupid alarm!
