Question:

Tubeless Tire Valve Stem Pulls Out By Hand?

i was filling the tire on my car and the valve stem completely came out when i finished, quickly deflating the tire. i could push it back in but then the process repeated itself when i tried refilling it again. is there part of the stem i'm not seeing. the stem that i saw was long and straight and threaded. advise, thoughts? thanks.

Answer:

Tubeless Tire Valve
are okorder /... to see a picture of one The valve is threaded into the stem The stem has threads inside and out ,internal threads are for the schrader valve and external threads are for the stem cap If the stem came out there is damage to the stem and it needs to be replaced ,but if the valve came out try using a schrader tool to screw it back in
Are you talking about the whole valve stem? You need a new one, tire has to be dismounted to install it. Are you talking about the insides, the valve core? There is a tool to thread it in, used to be right on the valve caps that came on bicycles, is available in any auto parts store. Why that would pop out I don't know, unless somebody deliberately loosened it. Or perhaps you have ended up with some of the millions of low-quality counterfeit ones that came out of China a couple of years agol
get a new valve stem. this one has gone bad. valve stems are very cheap. have someone at a tire store install it though.
There is a disc shaped part of it that goes on the inside. It probably tore off and fell into the tire. Pick up a new valve stem at an auto store. They insert from the inside, so you'll have to loosen the tire bead in the valves vicinity. Lubricate it with soapy water to help with the insertion. Or, Take the wheel to a tire store and let them fix it.
