ok i was going to vacuum both the carpet and hardwood but i don't know how to change the sliding thing on the bottom of the vacuum and where to put it should i just put it on hard? making sure because i dont want to ruin the hardwood Thanks!!!!!
The adjustment settings on vacuum cleaners are there so you won't ruin the roller brush on the vacuum....not the floor. What make/model of vacuum cleaner do you have? My vacuum cleaner (a Eureka Boss SmartVac) has different height levels and then 2 adjustments for using hard floors.
most vacuums will scratch up hard wood floors so it is better to dust mop it.
