VEGETABLE cheesecake!!!???

Hi,Sorry I have absolutely no idea of how to prepare Western cuisineI was invited to a party where I was offered this stuff - looks like a cheesecake, but when I ate them it didn't taste sweet [I mean it was NOT a dessert item for sure], rather it tasted like it had vegetables in them.they were so DELICIOUS.Do you have a clue what it might be? If yes, could you kindly provide step-by-step instruction on how to prepare them.THANK YOU very much!!!!

It might have been a vegetable quiche There are a ton of recipes, here's one: Ingredients 1 (9 or 10 inch) pie crust 1 cup onion, chopped 1 green bell pepper, chopped 1 cup fresh broccoli, chopped 1 cup fresh tomatoes, seeded and diced 1/2 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced 2 tablespoons butter 1 teaspoon garlic, minced salt to taste 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese, shredded 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated 5 eggs 1/4 cup milk Directions Line a 9 or 10 inch pie pan with pie crustLine crust with a double thickness of aluminum foilBake at 450 degrees for 5 minutesRemove foil and bake an additional 5 minutesPlace on rack and let cool while preparing remaining ingredientsIn large skillet, melt butterAdd onion, green bell pepper, broccoli, tomatoes and mushroomsSaute until vegetables are softenedAdd garlic, salt and pepperMix wellRemove from heatSpoon vegetables into crustSprinkle with cheesesWhisk together eggs and milkPour over vegetablesBake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out cleanIf edges get too brown, cover edges with foil during bakingLet stand 5 minutes before slicing.
