They are actually quite inexpensive, and it's easier to just buy a new oneI used to keep two sets-one for when I was cooking, and one for when I wasn't! Now I have a smooth top rangeIf you really want to clean it, SOS or Brillo (soap + steel wool) padsEven then it might not do the trickI have even used oven cleaner on themTip: do not use aluminum foil pans or line them with aluminum foil as it can cause a fire, or cause the burner to short outI know someone who ruined all 4 burners on her stove that way; had to buy a new stove.
