Weird science/cooking question?

I have a toaster ovenThe highest temperature it will cook is 450 degrees FahrenheitPaper burns at 451 degrees FahrenheitWould it be safe to put a paper towel over the rack and cook food? I want to avoid cross contamination, but I don't have any aluminum foil hereSo this was my ideaI didn't try it out, instead I just cleaned the rackThis is a serious question, serious answers appreciated:)

Answer:

they will check until they are content that nothing suspicious is there
I suspect not, as the elements will be hotter than 450degrees, but the ambient (air) temp will be somewhat lessAny oils dripping onto the paper can bring the temp up and be a fire hazard.
