Any of the thermosetting plastics will take a lot of heat without melting. Thermosetting plastics are polymer materials that irreversibly cure, including rubber, epoxies, melamine, bakelite, and polyimides. Thermosetting polyimides plastics do not melt and can take temperatures for a short period exceeding 900F. Most thermosetting plastics are a two part mix and once they are mixed they chemically cure and can't be melted or reused like regular plastics

Wood floor should be fine, and as long as the top of the fridge isn't made of cheap plastic it should be fine. you could always buy some pot holders (the flat square kind, insulated) and use those as a base.

The most heat resistant is a bit of a trick question. Plastics can react to heat very differently depending on pressure, and other variables. Now to your question, there are two main families of polymers (plastics) thermosets and thermoplastics. Thermoplastics are what you generally think of as plastic. They can be melted and cured multiple times, and include things like teflon, polyester, PVC and acrylic. The other family is thermosets. Once thermosets are cured, they cannot be melted and re-cured (that doesn't mean they don't melt, just that when they melt, they change irrevocably), generally have greater hardness, and include things like epoxies and melamine. In the past, a thermoset material called Bakelite was used for handles for cooking utensils, and a thermoset material called Duroplast, was used to build the German Trabant automobile.
