I want laser goggles that protect against a 250mW red laser. I am EXTREMELY fond of my vision, so I would like one that is very strong and covers my whole field of vision (including peripheral). I think that they should be OD4+ because I will be staring at the dot while burning leaves and bugs. Thank you
The surface is the MOST IMPORTANT criterion. If it was a mirror then 90% of the energy would be reflected. Black carbon covered soils after a bushfire might only reflect 10% of the energy and the remainder is absorbed as heat. Water reflects quite a lot and ice reflects even more. Soil reflects less and green vegetation reflects only a small amount.
Seems like a small minority of owners are acting up.
