What are some good practices in the laboratory ?
I guess they think it's a false alarm. I'd be out the door. You wouldn't hear from me,lol
They were in the shower and realized there was no shampoo so they used the phone in the bathroom to call for more shampoo, however, the steam from the shower made their ears clogged so they couldn't hear the fire alarm.
Lol, I know how you feel. I mean its a fire alarm! Get out of the building for gods sake. But what are you gonna do? People can be lazy to the point that they'll risk their own lives I mean, even if the fire is not on your floor, you'd still assume its on another floor and traveling fast.
I personally don't focus on punishment, I focus on preventing unwanted behavior with good parenting techniques. By doing this the need for any punishment is much less to begin with. Punishment should be used rarely and parents should not focus on punishing children in order to change behavior, they should focus on teaching them to correct behavior. When I do need to use punishment it is usually as simple as removing a privilege that they enjoy. I also find it very effective to have my children write a paper about what they did, why it was a bad choice and what they should do instead as well as how their choice affected others. This gets them involved in problem solving and thinking about what they did.
Been there done that. I've worked third shift in a hotel for years and it will never change. People would burn to death if you didn't answer the phone and tell them it was a firelol.
