What are some products that you find useful that can be built locally and have postive effects on their enviro
I have always had great luck with the Johnny Morris signature batcasters at Bass Pro. Actually, I am about to spool one sitting at my desk here at work. These other guys are dead on though. Spend the money on the reel. It's far more important than the rod.
I would definitely look into the $80-$120 range, for the most part. One exception (if you don't believe me, read some reviews..) are the H2O Xpress Mettle reels from Academy. These retail for $60 but go on sale for even less at times. Other than that, the Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier would be your best option. Go with a reel in the 6 gear ratio range for all around fishing. For your rod, go to a store and pick what feels best FOR YOU. I know Abu makes some decent lower price rods, and the Berkley Lightning Rod Shock is fine too. Look for a 7' Medium or Medium-Heavy power, fast-action rod and this will suit most of your bass fishing needs. If the majority of your lures are 1/4-3/8oz go with a Medium, if most of them are 3/8-1/2 go with a Medium-Heavy. I'd start out with Spinnerbaits and maybe some Buzzbaits. Learn to fish these well, they're easy for beginners and you WILL catch fish.
One of two possible problems with your smoke detectors. 1 is that the electric to the 2 detectors without working lights has been intetrrupted, try checking your fuses or circuit breakers, 2 is that you have 2 bad smoke detectors which need to be replaced. ( Again check your batteries b-4 doing anything else, Some times brand new batteries have died due to excessive shelf storage and need replaced with ones that work.)
