Question:

What are some quick ways to unclog a bathroom sink?

Our bathroom sink gets clogged too easily so I wanted to know some ways to unclog it quickly.

Answer:

Yes, remove the p-trap. Maybe it is enough to clean the pop-up with tweezers. If your sink has a pop-up replace it with a strainer then you will nomore have a clogged sink. I replaced all my pop-ups with strainers.
After you get it unclogged try pouring 1/2 cup baking soda and 2 cups white vinegar down all your drains once a month.
Remove the stopper.Have someone hold a wet rag over the overflow holes and plunge the heck out of it.If the drain is not vented it will loosen all the gunk in the pipe.Flush with cold water.Hot water just makes it sticky.
Right underneath the sink on the drain pipe, there is a juncture that raises and lowers the stopper. That bar inside of the pipe probably has a huge hair ball on it. You should unscrew the fitting, remove it, clean all the hair out, put it back in, and screw it tight. Don't worry. I am sure your husband thinks you are a modern industrious woman whether you fix the sink or he fixes it. Good luck fixing it anyways.
Put the stopper down, fill the sink with hot water then open it and plunge it if you have one. Also there is a $10.00 AS SEEN ON TV hair remover that works very much like a plumbers snake but really small that will fit in the sink or tub drain and used as directed that really works well to remove hair. This can be found at most drug and even target, kmart stores.
