What are Surfboards made out of these days?

I want to start shaping surfboards, and i was wondering what they were made out of. I thought it was foam, but my dad said that they dont do that any more.

These days they are mostly made of polyurethane or polystyrene foam covered with layers of fiberglass cloth and polyester or epoxy resin. However, there are some specialty boards made out of aluminium and carbon fibre. I have attached sources for your reference. Regards
